Evaluations

Who Benefits?

Speech-language therapy evaluations are crucial for understanding a child's specific needs. These assessments provide valuable insights into a child's communication abilities and areas of difficulty.

By identifying these areas early on, therapists can tailor interventions to address the child's unique challenges effectively. This personalized approach ensures that the child receives the most appropriate and beneficial services and recommendations to support their speech and language development.

When should I get an Evaluation?

Having an independent or second opinion speech evaluation is beneficial and can bring different viewpoints. This can help uncover nuances and offer a more comprehensive assessment. It ensures unbiased feedback, offering a fresh perspective on communication skills. This approach can lead to more accurate treatment approaches and targeted improvement strategies.

With a wide variety of standardized, norm-referenced, criterion-referenced and functional-based assessments, ranging from ages 0-89, we can develop the perfect combination of tests to target skills of which you are most concerned. Depending on the age, current level of functioning and areas of difficulty, one or multiple assessments may be utilized.

Evaluations can assess areas separately or in various combinations. When multiple assessments are combined, rates are discounted. This will be discussed in the initial consultation, before the evaluation.
